At the NYE party I went to tonight, I spent a large chunk of time talking to this girl about, a) Dexter, and how she had TOTALLY PREDICTED THE INCEST TWIST BEFORE IT HAPPENED (spoiler alert), b) how she watches “this British show” called “Misfits,” (me: “O-oh, I think I’ve heard of that,” trying to pretend like my best friend, the internet, hadn’t told me all about it) but this season isn’t as good because Nathan isn’t on it anymore and the new guy sucks, c) period dramas and how Downton Abbey is great, d) Korean TV and how the clothes are amazing and the men are tall and handsome (I SWEAR TO GOD, TYPICROBOTS, SHE CAME THIS CLOSE TO SAYING “TALL HANDSOME ASIANS”), e) Game of Thrones and how everyone dies and it’s upsetting, f) and finally, she also totally explained to me what a fanvid is.

SO TUMBLR, BASICALLY WHAT I AM SAYING IS THAT IT WAS NICE OF YOU TO PUT ON YOUR HUMAN SUIT, GET DRESSED UP, AND GO INTO MEATSPACE FOR THE NIGHT. I ENJOYED DRINKING CHAMPAGNE WITH YOU AND TALKING ABOUT HOW AWESOMELY FUCKED UP DEXTER AND DEB ARE. It was like barely leaving home at all. Which, thank God, because the rest of the party pretty much blew.
